Il Quaternario è iniziato 2,58 milioni di anni fa con il raffreddamento del Sole. Da allora ci troviamo in una glaciazione, interrotta da brevi periodi caldi che durano poco più di 10 mila anni. L’attuale periodo caldo è iniziato 11.700 anni fa e i sedimenti oceanici mostrano che stiamo rientrando nella prossima era glaciale. Inizialmente si pensava che queste variazioni fossero dovute ai cicli di Milankovitch, ultimamente si è scoperto che dipendono da un effetto a doppia dinamo tra due strati del Sole, uno vicino alla superficie e uno profondo nella sua zona di convezione. I dati provenienti dai carotaggi del ghiaccio dell’antartico mostrano che le temperature aumentano prima della CO2. La CO2 non è la causa dell’aumento delle temperature. La vita si basa sulla CO2 e quando le temperature aumentano la vita fiorisce aggiungendo CO2. La CO2 è un indicatore della vita. Senza CO2 gli alberi e la vegetazione non potrebbero crescere. La CO2 non è un inquinante. Diventa pericolosa solo a concentrazioni superiori alle 100.000 parti per milione (ppm). Oggi ne abbiamo solo 400. L’effetto a doppia dinamo porta a prevedere per il 2032 un calo del 60% delle emissioni solari e temperature glaciali che porteranno la calotta glaciale a superare i 4km di spessore in Europa e nel Nord America, con un abbassamento del livello degli oceani di oltre 150 metri. Gli scenari possibili sono tre: 1) L’umanità migrerà verso la fascia equatoriale e costruirà città nelle aree che prima erano sommerse dagli oceani. Al ritorno del periodo caldo il ghiaccio si scioglie rapidamente, dando luogo a laghi interglaciali i cui argini si rompono inondando i bacini oceanici e spazzando via ciò che rimane delle civiltà. 2) Una piccola élite sta concentrando enormi risorse, grazie al meccanismo delle banche centrali private e la creazione del debito pubblico, per costruire rifugi che consentiranno ad un’élite di sopravvivere. Questo scenario è altamente disfunzionale ed è destinato a fallire. 3) L’umanità nel suo insieme sarà in grado di sopravvivere, ma ciò richiede il passaggio dall’attuale cultura dissipativa ed entropica ad una nuova cultura che assorbe e concentra energia e massimizza la vita. Questo sito è dedicato a questo terzo scenario. Uno scenario che offre incredibili opportunità per il progresso dell’umanità.

The Quaternary began 2,58 million years ago with the cooling of the Sun. Since then we are in an ice age, interrupted by short warm periods that last about 12 thousand years. The current warm period began 11,700 years ago and deep sea sediments show that we are entering the next ice age. Initially it was thought that these variations were due to the Milankovitch cycles, but lately it has been discovered that they are caused by a double dynamo effect between two layers of the Sun, one close to the surface and one deep within its convection zone. Data from the Antarctic ice cores show that temperatures rise first and then CO2 increases. CO2 is not the cause of rising temperatures, but rising temperatures are the cause of the increase in CO2. Life is based on CO2 and when temperatures rise life blooms adding CO2. CO2 is a product of life. Without CO2 tree and vegetation don’t grow. CO2 is not a pollutant; it becomes life-threatening above 100,000 parts per million (ppm) and now we just have 400. The double dynamo effect predicts for 2032 a 60% drop in solar emissions and glacial temperatures that will cause an ice cap 4km thick in Europe and North America, with ocean levels dropping 150 meters. There are three possible scenarios: 1) Humanity will migrate to the equator and build cities in areas that were previously submerged by oceans. When the warm period returns, the ice melts rapidly, giving rise to interglacial lakes whose banks suddenly break, flooding the ocean basins and sweeping away what remains of previous civilizations. 2) A small elite is concentrating enormous resources, thanks to the mechanism of private central banks and the creation of public debt, to build shelters that will allow few to survive. This scenario is highly dysfunctional and is destined to fail. 3) Humanity as a whole will be able to survive, but this requires the shift from the current dissipative and entropic culture to a new culture that absorbs and concentrates energy and maximizes life.
