Life continually exchanges matter and energy and in order to do so a medium is required. In ancient Rome this medium was named Linfa, the divinity of fresh water that made nutrients available. In botany it is a liquid, which consists almost all of water. In human societies this function is provided by money. Money is the lifeblood of society and anyone who controls money also controls the vital energy of the people and nations.
