Truth
requires that we expose ourselves to different views and opinions and have the
courage to choose what is coherent. However, ideas provide values and mitigate
the identity conflict. This is the reason why it is so difficult to change
ideas. When we try to understand different narratives, we discover that the
compass of the heart always points to what is true, even when the rational mind
tells a totally different story.
