The
first experimental study dates back to 1997, it was performed by Dean Radin of
the ION (Institute of Noetic Sciences)[1].
Radin measured heart rate, skin conductance, and blood pressure in subjects who
were shown a blank screen for 5 seconds followed by images that, based on a Random
Event Generator, could be calm or emotional. Radin observed a significant
arousal (activation) of the parameters of the autonomic nervous system, before
the presentation of emotional images.
